Election Kit re: Ontarians With Disabilities Act Get involved and make sure your MPP is committed to a strong ODA! Subject: ODA Election Alert - Announcing our Election Campaign for a Barrier-Free Ontario ONTARIANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT COMMITTEE ELECTION 2003 ALERT CONSERVATIVES CALL PROVINCIAL ELECTION FOR OCTOBER 2 - ODA COMMITTEE KICKS OFF ITS ELECTION CAMPAIGN FOR A BARRIER-FREE ONTARIO September 2, 2003 The Conservative Government has just called a provincial election for October 2, 2003. The ODA Committee now kicks off our grassroots 2003 Election Campaign for a Barrier-Free Ontario. We do not seek to elect or defeat any party. We seek to raise disability issues in the campaign, and to promote our shared goal of a barrier-free Ontario for 1.9 million Ontarians with disabilities. We need everyone to pitch in to help. Stay tuned for helpful email announcements with practical suggestions on what you can do. To get you started, we will shortly be emailing our 2003 Election Action Kit. An important part of our campaign will be our brand new ODA Election Leaflet. It is now available on our website. We encourage everyone to download it, print up copies, and distribute it to the public. It fits on both sides of 1 page, or can be printed on 2 separate pages. It explains the importance of the need to strengthen the ODA, and sets out the platforms of the three parties. Stay tuned for a series of ODA announcements over the period of this election campaign. As always, to help you get through our emails quicker, each email will have a headline and a short summary up top, in case you only have time to read the summary. There will be more than the usual amount of ODA email during the period of the election campaign, as this is our main means for keeping you posted and involved. Please join in and help, even if you can only offer a few minutes each week. Read our upcoming Action Kit for ideas. |
